FILTERING WATER: Screening by Nataliah

SCREENING

On Tuesday, we did screening (not watching something) but making dirty water clean, so here is what we did...

First we put sticks/big debris, rocks, leaves, dirt and sand to make the dirty water, but then we put in water (obviously) or it wouldn’t be dirty water!

Then we put the colander over the clean big bucket then we poured the dirty water into the bucket and it caught big debris.

After we put the funnel over a small bucket, which was a cookie container, and we poured the water through it and it only caught 1 leaf.

When we finished that, we put the sieve over the bucket and it caught little particles but not all. The particles were at the bottom of the water and the water was kind of yellowy!
