THE WEEK THAT WAS...
We have had another great week in Room 5! The first thing I have to do though is rectify a past error - which was leave out Week 4's Value's recipients - Layla and Macky, so let's start with them. I also forgot photos, so here are their photos from our Superhero shoot...
Macky received his for being a star at using ALL the values to the best of his abilities. He's great at opening the doors for others, showing respect, as well as being a very responsible member of Room 5.
Layla used responsibility in her Writing, as she did a really good job at meeting what was expected of her when it came to making up crazy excuses for why we weren't at school - one of hers was 'I turned into a worm and then got stuck in an apple'.
WEEK 5
It was Koewyn's last day with us on Friday. Room 5 is really going to miss this one cool kid, and we want to wish him all the best for his next adventure. He was also this week's Values award winner as he is someone who tries to show all the values, and we wanted to encourage to keep doing that in his new school.
His classmates, some who have been new students at new schools recently, also gave him some cool advice on what to do at his new school -'be brave' and 'just be yourself' were two really cool bits of advice he got.
MANDARIN
We also had our first Mandarin lesson this week. We will have a short lesson every week. Here's a little taster...
ROOM 5 GOES INTERNATIONAL...
We had a bit of fun this week, as I sent a video of Room 5 to my cousin who lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. For those of you who don't know, I was born in Scotland and moved to NZ when I was 5 years old. My cousin, Laura, loved the video so much, she sent one back to Room 5. Here they are...

SWIMMING
We also said goodbye to our instructors this week. We had such a great time with them. We are going to keep swimming as much as we can, and practise all the things we have learnt.
