Museum Trip: Hapori Whanui

Last Thursday, Room's 4 and 5 headed off to the Auckland Museum - my favourite building in Auckland, not that that was why we were going or anything #ahem. Right, moving on... 

We had gone to learn more about migration and how our ancestors from years ago came here, and why they chose the places they did to live.

We also had the opportunity to look out at Auckland and the North Shore, and do some sketching around what we can see as specific landmarks related to our community, for example, North Head and Rangitoto.

We are going to be doing some learning around that this week in class and tie it into our Inquiry.
